Spiced Baked Pears with Clove, Cinnamon & Honey

Pears and spices are a classic match! This warmly spiced, wholesome recipe highlights the delicate floral sweetness of pears, perfectly balanced by the rich depth of Clove and Cinnamon Extracts.

🍐 Spiced Baked Pears with Clove, Cinnamon & Honey

🌸 Ingredients

  • 4 medium pears (ripe but firm)

  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp melted butter 

  • ½ tsp Cinnamon Extract

  • ¼ tsp Clove Extract

  • 40 g (¼ cup) raisins or chopped dates

  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

  • A squeeze of lemon juice

🍯 Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 °C (350 °F).

  2. Halve and core the pears, leaving stems intact if you like. Place them cut-side up in a small baking dish.

  3. Mix the filling. In a bowl, combine honey, melted butter, cinnamon, clove extract, raisins, and nuts.

  4. Spoon the mixture into the hollowed centres of the pears.

  5. Add a splash of hot water (2–3 tbsp) to the baking dish to keep them moist.

  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until tender and caramelised at the edges.

  7. Serve warm, drizzled with pan juices and topped with yogurt, cream, or ice cream.
